The list of food changers includes horticultural innovations

For the sixth time, Food100 presents a list of the current top 100 Dutch food changers. The compilers claim that these “promising talents and established leaders” are building a better and fairer food system for all. With this list, Food100 provides a stage for impact makers within Dutch agribusiness who think, dare and act differently. This year’s list includes OneThird, Glowfarms and Physee.

A jury of independent experts compiled this Food100 list from more than 250 entries. They judged the contestants on four criteria: strength, innovation, sustainability, and the amount of insight and knowledge shared by the contestant. The 2022 jury largely reflects the food chain and is made up of:

  • President of the jury, Christiaan Vette, independent consultant in strategy, innovation and transformation.
  • Isabel Boerdam, who founded the Green Food Lab, the Hippe Vegetariër (the trendy vegetarian) and De Week Zonder Vlees (the week without meat).
  • Dr. Jeroen Candel, Associate Professor of Public Administration and Member of the Animal Affairs Council and Board of Overseers of Transition Coalition Food.
  • Anne Reijnders, who inspires new eating habits through her company, De Lekkere Man, and television programs.
  • Tim van der Mark, pig farmer and board member of Nederlands Agrarisch Jongeren Kontakt.
  • Tarique Arsiwalla, who founded Protix, invests in sustainable agricultural start-ups and is a strategic consultant for the Vermaat group.
  • Dalila Sayd, whose Het Eetschap foundation is part of the social food landscape.

You can see the full Food100 2022 list here. As this is not a contest, it is intentionally listed in alphabetical order. “All of the nominees have provided motivation to earn their place on this list and, thus, to be part of the Food100 network”, say the members of the jury.
