1 hour per week volunteer required to help with landscaping / gardening
MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Watch out, green thumbs! Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield is in need of a volunteer gardener to help with weed landscaping and management of two raised beds. Replanting appropriate plants may also be necessary at times.
âOur backyard and landscaping are our families’ first impressions when they arrive at Ronald McDonald House, often stressed and overwhelmed,â said Iilee Pederson, Executive Director. “We want our home to be a welcoming and well-kept first impression.”

Ronald McDonald House is located across from Marshfield Medical Center at 803 W North Street and offers free accommodation and meals to families in need of assistance while their child is in hospital.
âOur families are encouraged to use our outdoor spaces as a place of respite,â added Pederson. “After long hours spent within the walls of the hospital, the fresh air and the beautiful flowers can be a source of peace and relaxation.”
The time commitment for a garden volunteer is approximately one hour per week. If you are interested, please contact Ronald McDonald House at [email protected] or call 715-387-5899 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
