COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) — Registration is open for the Texas Master Gardener Conference. The virtual event is scheduled for May 10 and 11.
It is open to the public and you will have access to the information covered for several months as you develop your own gardening skills.
“This year we have it virtually so anyone across Texas can join us,” said Jayla Fry of Texas AgriLife Extension. “We allow any registered participant to have access to recordings for up to four months. You will therefore have access to it until around September. These are some really cool things we have to offer this year. We have discussions about things like landscaping, about Asian vegetables.

Our theme this year is “Community Connections”. We listened to the great feedback we received after the 2021 conference and saw that many of you wanted more tools to become better volunteers in your community. We have a fantastic list of speakers ready to share with you many ways to advance projects and education within your association. There will also be many engaging sessions on various horticultural topics. We will travel to see the various gardens found in other states through virtual tours.
The conference offers hours of continuing education for master gardeners, including three keynote presentations, twenty-four breakout sessions, five virtual tours as well as a bonus session on the Volunteer Management System (VMS).
The conference is also a time to celebrate the Search for Excellence awards and the incredible accomplishments our volunteers are making in education across the state.
